Wild windy day for the parade today. The harbour turned into what looked like a jacuzzi, fishing boats disappearing under waves and the poor school kids that had to pass that way got drenched. Great entertainment while we sat drinking coffee....inside!
Last week there was a rumour about a giant crocodile lurking under the bridge by the smelly river on the way into town. Fortunately, thanks to Alan, Mandy and many volunteers he has been caught and is now back in the Green Frog supermarket. Rest assured you can now be safe in Zante !
Despite some slightly hungover, unenthusiastic members, inclement weather conditions and 130 or so pre walk messages debating whether to stay in bed or not, we finally met in Agalas.
We walked about 7km (felt like 170). I'd like to say I feel better for it...BUT...not sure if I do!
Enjoying the log burner, tv and the sofa now.
Can't wait for Taebo tomorrow. So much for a quiet, relaxing winter!
